Designed for Upstate summers
Spartanburg summers run hot and humid, and a poorly finished patio can turn into an uncomfortable, glare-heavy slab by mid-afternoon. We talk through finish options with you up front — a broom finish for grip and lower heat retention, or a stamped or stained surface if you want the look of stone or brick without the maintenance.
We also plan for shade trees and root zones where relevant, since mature trees are common in established Spartanburg yards, and roots can lift a slab over time if the layout doesn't account for them.
- Custom patio layouts sized to your backyard and how you'll use it
- Broom, stamped, or stained concrete finish options
- Proper slope and drainage so water moves away from the house
- Expansion joints planned around the shape of your home and existing structures
- Pool deck concrete for existing or new pool installations
Site prep matters more than the finish
A beautiful stamped finish won't hold up if the ground underneath wasn't graded and compacted correctly first. Before any concrete goes down, we clear the area, grade for drainage, and compact the base — the same clay-soil considerations that apply to driveways apply here, just on a smaller footprint.
